Final Cut of Video

This is the final cut of my music video, I decided to re-shoot specific sections of the video due to the time in between shooting dates to make the video flow a little better.

Q. 3 What have you learned from your audience feedback?

After finishing my video I asked a variety of people to rate my video and offer feedback about their thoughts and feelings.

“I really enjoyed how relaxing the video is, the enigma towards the end of the video is really intriguing and makes me want to research the artist further. Another point I would like to make is that the simple style of the video fits in with the original themes of acoustic music. Overall very much enjoyed”.

“I like the idea of the video being in black and white because, the way in which you have shot it featuring narrative and performance can often be seen in real media products including BeyoncĂ©, ‘If I was a Boy’ and Blink 182’s video for ‘Not Now’, Very much an enjoyable video”.

“I think the style of the video suites in very well with the pace of the music. Also I think the costume you have chosen to wear is very stereotypical of your chosen genre”.

Overall I feel the feedback I received was very positive and supportive from my fellow peers, one specific thing I heard that would have affected my work would’ve been maybe to have included more that one actor, after reviewing this query, I can say that I slightly agree.

Rough Cut

Above is a rough cut of my A2 coursework music video. In my final version of the video I intend to finish the storyline seen within the rough cut. Also I may re - shoot some of the clips I have used, either to sharpen them up or to make the video flow through it's narrative better, giving the audience the ability to understand what is actually happening during the story arc of the video. I may also tamper with colour slightly to give it a deeper effect, possibly making the blacks 'deeper' and the whites 'cleaner'. I also intend to change the font in the beginning of the video to make it more applicable to my chosen genre, I had began to notice that the font I originally used would have been more suited to either a "Heavy Metal" or "Alternative Rock" video. I would also like to include a higher shot count within the video, in contrast I would still like to keep the shots coming at a slow pace to fit in with the overall tempo of the song.
